An overview of effective strategies for managing cyber risk in the banking sector. Participants will learn about creating a risk management framework that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding the importance of prioritizing cyber risk based on business impact. - Risk Assessments
A dive into conducting thorough cyber risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and potential impacts on the bank's operations. This section emphasizes how to implement regular assessments, evaluate controls, and develop actionable plans to mitigate risk. - Current Cyber Threat Trends
A review of the latest cyber threats impacting the financial services industry. Attendees will gain insights into emerging attack vectors such as ransomware, phishing, data breaches, and insider threats, and learn how these trends influence bank security policies and procedures. - Cyber and IT Best Practices
This segment covers essential best practices for securing networks, systems, and customer data. Topics include multi-factor authentication, endpoint security, encryption, secure software development, vulnerability management, and the importance of regular system updates. - Fraud Panel and Discussion

Bankers will learn effective techniques to identify fraud risks, respond to incidents, and strengthen their fraud prevention programs. - Challenges of Being the Information Security Officer
A candid discussion about the challenges faced by Information Security Officers (ISOs) in community banks, including balancing limited resources, staying ahead of evolving threats, and managing internal and external stakeholder expectations. Participants will gain practical advice on how to navigate these challenges effectively. - Educating Your Customers on Cybersecurity
This session focuses on empowering community bank customers with the knowledge and tools they need to protect their personal information. Bankers will learn how to communicate cyber risks to customers, develop educational programs, and promote safe banking practices in an increasingly digital world.
By attending this Cyber Risk Program, community bankers will be better prepared to protect their institutions from cyber threats, manage risk effectively, and create a culture of cybersecurity awareness within their organizations and among their customers.
