Professional Bio
Richard began his career with the FDIC soon after he was offered a U.S. Marshall position in Miami, FL. He began his career in Lexington, KY where he became a commissioned examiner in 1993. He has traveled all across the United States for the FDIC and recently hailed from Denver, Colorado. He currently serves as one of the regional office IT specialists in Atlanta, GA.
Soon afterwards, Richard began his Information Technology (IT) career path that continues to serve him well today. He has examined banks with less than $10 million in assets all the way to in the billions. Until recently, he has focused on examining large technology service providers and data centers.
He has attained several certifications such as the Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified Business Continuity Professional. Richard has taught and helped develop IT courses for the FDIC and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Information Assurance.
