Honoring Juneteenth: Office Closure Announcement
In observance of Juneteenth, our offices will be closed on June 19th. This significant day marks the end of slavery in the United States and is a time to celebrate freedom, acknowledge the struggles and achievements of the African American community, and reflect on the ongoing fight for equality.
Understanding Juneteenth
Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, commemorates the day in 1865 when news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached enslaved people in Texas, two and a half years after it was issued. Known as Freedom Day, Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of the resilience and contributions of African Americans.
Why We Observe Juneteenth
Closing our offices allows us to honor this historic day and encourages our team to engage in meaningful activities such as attending local events, supporting Black-owned businesses, and educating ourselves about African American history.
Celebrating Together
As we take this day to reflect and celebrate, we invite you to join us in recognizing the importance of Juneteenth. Whether through community involvement or personal reflection, let’s commemorate this day with respect and a commitment to equality.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to returning with a deeper dedication to our values of diversity and inclusion.
Happy Juneteenth!
