JOB TITLE: Head Teller
DEPARTMENT: Retail/Branch
REPORTING SUPERVISOR: Branch Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: Tellers
POSITION SUMMARY: The Head Teller is responsible for performing regular teller duties and overseeing all tellers within the branch to ensure smooth and orderly operation of the teller line and related functions. This position coordinates directly with customers maintaining effective customer relations, providing timely assistance and cross-sells solutions when possible. The successful candidate will be a team player, leader and champion of the Bank with a positive attitude and must feel comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Proficiency in counting currency and coin • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and tactfully interact with customers • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain strict confidentiality • Strong organizational skills • Ability to give and accept instruction and the desire to oversee and assist others • Maintains adequate knowledge level of all applicable banking laws and regulations
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: • High school graduate or equivalent • Minimum 2 years previous teller experience. • Supervisory experience strongly preferred. • PC proficiency using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
WORK HOURS/DAYS: 40 hours/5 days
